The winter weather is absolutely confused about it’s identity. My fellow Canadian friends know that the weather can change from -30 degrees to +10 degrees in the span of a few days making it hard to dress appropriately. The snow is melting and as exciting as it is to see some greenery, I’m not totally convinced the snow will be gone for good…but a girl can dream.
During the winter season I’d been on the hunt for the perfect faux fur vest. It’s not a new trend and there are lots of styles out there but I wanted to share a pairing I’ve been enjoying with this vest. It works perfectly for the in-between cold/chilly/false spring type of weather. I scored this beauty from Zara at their outerwear sale and I was shocked to find it with an affordable price tag. Only $39! #Win! Oh, and it has pockets! Amazing. It has sold out completely now but like I mentioned, there are tons of fur faux vests on the market to try.

A fur faux vest can come off as a daring, dressy, statement piece you find you can’t wear often. Going with an earthy-neutral-casual pairing can make it easier to wear day-to-day. This outfit is fall/winter/why-not-spring-too friendly. The hues blend right into the scenery at the moment. I love different textures mixed together within the same colour family. I don’t have many items of clothing in an olive colour but I’m really loving this top. I decided to go with khaki skinny bottoms with my current fav boots. I brought in some minimal golden accessories to pair.
I’m loving these boots! I’ve been wearing them everywhere. They’re wedged, laced and have a combat boot feel without being overly bulky like some of my other combats. I feel a little military inspired with a mix of city sassy. These boots can easily be dressed up or down and since they’re a few shades of brown, they can coordinate with a lot of outfits. Round up: They’re warm, comfortable, waterproof, fashion-forward and durable. There’s nothing I don’t love about these. They’re currently on sale as well!
How do you pair your faux fur vest? Are you a sucker for wedged shoes like me? If you prefer a brighter, bolder look, check out this post. Leave me your thoughts.
